You don't need anybody to tell you how many miles an award will be. You can go to AA.com and check.
Currently, business aawards for September 2024 are pricing at 100k each way (SFO JFK)
A $250 cash upgrade will be very rare. You will probably be looking at $500+ from Y to J.

We can discuss valuation as much as you want , but it is irrelevant if the availability is not there.
