Glad to hear you had a nice visit, I think the PHNY is fantastic as well even though it gets mixed reviews here. We stayed at the PH Chicago for the first time two weekends ago and we did like the restaurant there better. The views are also consistently better from the rooms in Chicago as well but other than that, the rooms had a similar feel, with NYC having darker decor while Chicago's is lighter.

I feel overall the PHNY had a higher end feel to it throughout the entire property even though the Chicago location gets better reviews here. Alot of the negativity I believe comes down to the PHNY trying to upsell at check-in which turns people off. Putting that aside, which doesn't bother me, it is a fantastic property.
