Yes, not a self connection, all sold on one ticket, I just didn't know if they treat awards differently or are otherwise restrictive. I am remembering the last time I was in CDG I vowed never again as it took almost 3 hours, and that was with my giving up on getting vat refund for the items in my hand luggage, though that time the connection was from Austrian to AF and this time it would both be AF metal, so maybe I won't be forced to bus between them and redo security?
If your incoming flight is from Schengen on AF, no need to redo security (buses connecting the terminals AF and most of its partners use are airside). Some incoming non-Schengen AF flights, mostly from the US and Canada, luck out with their arrival gate and don't have to redo security when connecting.
