This is my 5th time staying here since 2022. I didn't get upgraded to (even a) junior suite this time for my 4 night stay as a globalist and never got upgraded to the Bangsar suite without using a TSU. I think I echo most of the points people have talked about above -- nice views and minimalist, friendly staff, but not a very nice neighbourhood and requiring 2-3 elevators to get to your room is a pain.

A few additional points I want to add:
- Parking is RM5 per exit; you exchange your entry ticket at the front desk when you leave and charge the RM5 to your room. This is a bit sad since the GH offers free parking.
- I like the location more since it's closer to more "local" areas where I need / want to visit -- PJ, SS2, SS20. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to someone visiting KL the first time (compared to a hotel in Bukit Bintang).
- Breakfast sets are gone! Breakfast is now a buffet. It's more options at once compared to the previous sets, but in general, it feels very limited and the quality has gone down. The Malaysian and Chinese breakfast sets were my favourite with the chai tow kway and the porridge. The rendang chicken was quite dry and the curry laksa had no ingredients. I used to like Alila's breakfast more then the GH's because of the focus on quality over quantity, but now Alila has lost in both categories.

breakfast laksa

nasi kerabu, rendang chicken, mushrooms

breakfast spread

curry laksa station

fresh veggies!

All this said, I would still come back here. It's a nice escape from the city, close to the places I need to go to, and also cheap!
