We have 2 stays here in November. The first one is a Prive booking, the second one - we have to cobble together - 3 separate ones (1st night - cash booking on King Plaza view, 2nd to 4th night - cash booking on King standard, and the 5th night using points). I wonder what's happening in DC on the week of Nov 13th. The rate on Sunday and Monday are really really high.

the 2nd one - I booked for my niece. She's coming here to the States to compete at a high school scholar's competition at Yale, and she wanted to visit DC afterwards. Would be nice for her and her mom not to change room. I might just convert the Prive booking for them, and me using the cobbled together stay - just to simplify the breakfast benefit.

Does anyone know where the hotel provide breakfast for Prive booking? When I called, and ask about how they handle Globalist benefit, the front desk staff told me that Globalist breakfast is at the Club lounge.

Update post:
Stayed for 5 nights here - booked 2 rooms.
Room 1: all on Prive booking, upgraded to a Regency corner suite.
Room 2: on Prive for 4 nights, guest of honor on the last night, booked basic room, got assigned a plaza view room - marginal upgrade, but room is good

Breakfast for Prive is $24 per person, per day, per room. So a room with 2 guest will have $48 allowance so to speak. Gratuity is paid already - so no need to include but can add if we so choose. On guest of honor day, b-fast is at the Club Lounge, any other day it is at the hotel restaurant.

More details later.

Booked with the assistance from Live Luxe Travel - highly recommended for Prive booking.
