Personally I don’t think anyone should accompany the assistance customer unless there is some mental issues.
I accompany them at all times. This is not me being lazy and trying to catch a free ride or skip a queue. Contrary to what TikTok videos may claim assistance at Heathrow and most other airports is far from the speedy or easy option.
