I will be among the ones who will regret also the old airport. It was so convenient and easy/cheap to reach. 44 km is really super far for Cambodia and I really don't know why they did it so far when you see all this empty land everywhere.
60 USD is certainly expensive for Cambodia but not that much for a 44 km distant airport. I am more concerned about the time it takes to go there as I am not sure they have built highways.
