I'm late with this, but also haven't seen it anywhere: Hyatt Vivid Grand Island will open near Cancun next to a new Dreams Grand Island. I **think** it will be a lagoon-side complex to the west of the Iberostar Cancun, but I can't say for sure as I'm not seeing any mention (although this on Google Maps looks like the below image with the Oasis complex in the background, and the image below does not look like it will be truly beachfront). I wonder if they will have beach access on the other side somewhere - there is no AMR resort nearish to there, but there is a public beach, so maybe they are building a beach club for it?

As for the brand positioning - I take it to be "Breathless with less partying and a lower price point than Secrets." The pic below seems to indicate that - that seems like quite a bit of crowding of chairs compared to Secrets, not sure if that's just someone having way too much fun with the cloning tool or if they do plan to pack people in with it. Also hope they have something that resembles a tree on that pool deck - way too much sun for me
