I had also tried to call AC a few times this year. Many times the wait time is more than an hour, and I didn't get to talk to someone. I also tried the option of waiting for call back - and no call back came. Another time waited for call back, and did get call back.

I'm a commoner, so don't get Elite fast answering. There must be a lot of people trying to talk to AC/aeroplan and spending a long time waiting.
