I can't speak to other reports but fwiw as an alternative datapoint, I have a very notional business and was approved for a biz checking account (only) during an earlier promotion without problem or extra scrutiny. I applied as a sole proprietorship with income of $0, and uploaded my driver's license as documentation (per other FT recommendations). The only downside to the checking account so far has been mandatory 2FA every time I want to sign into my Amex account, whcih I find to be a pain. As always YMMV.
