I recently flew AI roundtrip in coach, IAD-DEL. The outbound 787 (AI104) was VT-ANE and the return 787 (AI103) was VT-ANY. On the flight to Delhi I was in an exit row seat in the rear passenger area. My IFE was broken and they did try to fix it (it was working for everyone else). I had an iPad with lots of content so I didn't need IFE except for the map tracker which I like to watch. On this flight the crew set up an area next to the rear galley with water and juice (and soda?) for most of the flight and I don't think I've seen that before on an AI flight (although you can always ask for water or tea). AI104 was pretty full, and the business class section also looked full.

On the flight returning to Washington I was in the front exit row. My IFE was again broken, and they again tried to fix it to no avail. AI104 was not that full and a lot of people in the first coach section had a row to themselves. Business class did not look full either. On both flights they served three meals, the final meal on the flight to Washington was breakfast.

The crew on both flights were excellent--they made me feel like I was a guest in their home.

All the lines at DEL on this trip were short--for AI check-in and baggage drop, for immigration, and for security.
