I guess for those saying, “this is just an airline enforcing the rules this isn’t bad,” picture yourself with your spouse and friend at the check-in counter.

Everyone took off work, everyone packed, trained, paid nonrefundable deposits for an experience, and the airline employee looks you in the eye and says, “You are not getting on that plane. Your tickets will be canceled. There is nothing I can do.”

That’s probably the heart of it. If I knew from the beginning we would be ok, it wouldn’t have been much more than an inconvenience.
