I was unsure if I should start this trip report with a prologue, but here it goes.
I don’t talk a lot about what I do day-to-day… but I’m going to finally tell you guys that I am a Salesforce partner that is growing rapidly in North America.
I’m sure you’re thinking every time you hear the word Salesforce you cringe inside. That is the reaction I get most of the time…
I’m not that type of partner.. our goal is to make it easier for you to use the software. Seriously.
With that, let me tell you the purpose of this trip.
Before I started my career in the Salesforce industry, I spent about 2 to 3 years in the aviation industry, working as network planning analyst. I’ve always had interest in airlines, playing tycoon games, and also just a general love for the industry.
I still play those games and continuously think about what we can do with routes.
When I left to pursue a Salesforce career by accident, I never knew how I would get back to my Passion.
That was until I moved to Grand Rapids in 2019.
I realize very quickly that Grand Rapids is one of MANY markets in the Midwest that is underserved with direct flights. It is one of the many market opportunities out there for premium aviation.
That’s why I am doing this trip. I’m meeting with a certain aircraft manufacturer, and also working on building connections with industry to launch my own airline.
You guys can call me crazy all I care. But I know that there are many inefficiencies in the aviation history that could be rectified through my software and aviation, industry knowledge. Anyway…
With that the trip plan is as follows.
- GRR- ORD in UA First with Club access
- Quick visit to Salesforce’s Chicago Tower.
- ORD-MSP-LAS in DL First
- NBAA 2023 to visit a certain manufacturer of aircraft and do business.
- Some fun time in Las Vegas (First time going)
- LAS-DTW-TPA in DL First (redeye too!)
- Florida Salesforce Conference (FL Dreamin)
- TPA-ATL-GRR in DL First
- Hibernate for a bit
Hopefully you guys are interested in the ride… because this is gonna be the first trip report that I actually complete day by day. I promise. If you
stay to the end, I will post a link to the airlines website too.
