You can be a member of as many frequent flier programs as you want.

In general, it is not possible to transfer miles directly between them though. There may be isolated special cases where this is possible, or indirect routes such as via transfer through a credit card program. But even in those cases, you are likely to not preserve your miles at a 1:1 transfer ratio.
