The tanks are subject to a sanitisation schedule. Potable water supply at airports is audited frequently and there is a long list of criteria that have to be met including chlorination, and sanitation and storage of the equipment used. If these are not met the airport is put on a "banned list". You would be surprised at some of airports in first world countries where BA will not uplift water!
