After some research, it seems like FlyingBlue is the best SkyTeam program to earn miles. So, my plan for the rest of this year and all of next year for Delta flights will be to keep my Delta FF # on the reservation until I see if upgrades clear (unlikely when I'm a Silver, I know, but with some routes you can get upgrades). Once the upgrade clears, I will change my FF # to my FB #. I know I may have to do that at the airport. Is there any disadvantage to this other than how tedious it is? Seems like I can take advantage of almost all DL Medallion benefits but earn Flying Blue Miles. Flying Blue Miles are much more useful in my experience than SkyMiles.
I'm a domestic DL elite - thanks in advance for your patience with me crashing this thread

I believe you must change your ff# prior to check in.
