Just to answer my own question.

You need a same day ongoing BP to access the lounge. They scan the BP.

Now to call it a lounge is generous. It's a room basically with some refreshments, WiFi and seats and that's about it. It's next to the Puente Aéreo part of Terminal 1.

Now there is a workaround to the BP issue, you could book a ticket on Priceline same day with Vueling. Check-in and print BP, use it for the lounge and then cancel the ticket on Priceline or similar. It worked a few years ago and should still work now.
