Getting to lifetime Gold 1MM about a decade ago has essentially made the last decade manageable and survivable. Without it I probably would have flown UA about 60% less. Being able to select seat, get exit row, board early, check a couple bags, MAYBE get the OCCASIONAL int’l PAID upgrade, actually manage to get someone on the phone when there are major disruptions. It sounds silly, but sans even just that travel over the past 10 years would have been quite miserable.
so, at 1MM LIFETIME I say, count your blessings.
