I’ve spoken to reps a couple of times about this, who’ve put me on hold and spoken to managers/colleagues to confirm if this is correct and the ticket is, effectively, extended.
I’ve received one ‘yes’ and one ‘no’.
does anyone have experience with this and know what the true answer may be?
I’d hate to be in a position where they’re able to change dates on the ticket for me past the original ticket validity period (12 months), but then a few days beforehand (or at check in), they suddenly say they ‘hey your ticket isn’t actually valid, because we have to go by the originally issued eticket expiry, our phone reps were wrong and now you can’t fly at all’.
thank you
I believe a voluntary change will extend the validity to 12 months from the ticket re-issue.
once you have a ticket, short of some kind of suspected fraud, BA is very unlikely to rescind the ticket.
