Lufthansa is apparently doing designated evac flights on Thursday and Friday. Wonder if their insurance covers it or if the German government is providing coverage. LH is also saying they are considering restarting regular flights on Saturday.
The US government should be underwriting insurance to get commercial planes into Israel to evacuate Americans.

The Israeli government is doing this for their carriers and I imagine that's the case for other countries with rescue flights.
