Non UK call centres not GDPR compliant [?]

Am I wrong……

Ok so you make a payment in the UK via the UK call centres and they use secure payments to obtain credit card details. IE the line is secure you enter card payments and then agent gets and yes or no for approval.

However….. in the non UK call centres they require full 16 digit card number, expiration date and CVV. I believe this to not comply with GDPR or data protection framework.

I also suspect that any protection consumers have would be compromised as all the details have been given unsecured.

I have had no response from DPO regarding this matter.

Thoughts and comments ?
