I have not done any research, but WN's LAX-OAK frequency seems to be decreasing every year. The few remaining flights at commute hours are 2/3 full, so it's not as if demand exceeds supply. Walk-up fares are at record high levels, more than double the 2021 lows.
Unrelated, I recently booked a trip for family members with just a few days' notice. The pricing fluctuated wildly in those few days. A cheap flight doubled then later returned to the original price. An expensive flight became cheap. I bought the cheapest WGA Plus tickets and changed on the day of travel, when all flight options remained open. I really don't see how Southwest can maintain a $200 price difference between one flight and the WGA Plus on another flight on the day of travel. Only customer ignorance of WGA+ can allow that to continue.
