I just hit 50 nights this year and got 2 SUA that expire Feb 2025. I have 3 existing unused SUA that expire Feb 2024.

I made a reservation for March 15 2024 and was able to apply a SUA to the reservation but they used the SUA that expires in 2025. I was told the following: So only the suite upgrade awards expiring Feb 2025 would work on that reservation because of the dates of stay, as your stay is March 15. The suite upgrade awards that expire February 29, 2024 can only be used on reservations that take place February 29 or sooner. It would be the same for free night awards as well where whatever your expiration date is, the latest check in date you can book is the day before the free night award's expiration date.

I didn’t realize that SUA can only be used on reservation dates prior to the SUA expiration date. Has this always been the rule?
