- New Citibank card with HER Advantage number and spend $1,000.
- Spend $2,000 on the eShopping portal.
Couple of questions. Are the expired miles reinstated immediately after spending the required amount? Are there any other options? I read something here about a Motley Fool subscription. Would that get the 94k back?
Not sure about the timing but I would assume if you meet the criteria then the miles would be reinstated rather quickly, although AA being AA it might take a phone call.
And getting miles reinstated is much different than keeping miles from expiring. With getting miles reinstated you are at the mercy of AA and whatever kind of offer they are willing to extend (or $$ they want you to pay). Outside of the offers above have you checked aa.com to see how much it will cost if you just pay?
But keeping miles from expiring is completely different and much easier, ANY transaction in her account will reset the expiration. So if they hadn't expired yet you could join Motley Fool for $99 and once the miles post in a few days the expiration would be reset (or any other shopping, dining, flight, hotel etc. transaction, anything).
