Being a German citizen, I think can get a visa on arrival in case of a missed flight etc.
Don't assume too much about BEY. It's a bit of a disaster. I would only book this if you have enough time to clear immigration and check-in again. And yes, as a German citizen you can get a visa on arrival(which is just the stamp on your passport).
