Something is happened with management at the property. GM and his team used to be very responsive.
Two emails have so far gone unanswered.
The problem with Sydney hotels is most international arrivals are into SYD between 6 and 9 AM. So everyone wants an early check in. It's not uncommon to be denied. But Front Desk can obviously which rooms are available and clean and offer that to you.
I've had the same issue in almost every hotel. Most recently HR SYD didn't have my suite ready until 4PM, well after check in time.
