Was on a short 2-hour flight not that long ago, sitting across the aisle from two young women. Who talked. Very, very loudly and very, very constantly. It was an evening departure after a long day of work, and all I wanted for the next couple of hours was a bit of peace and quiet.

I politely asked them if they could possibly turn the volume down a bit, which they did. For around 2 minutes, then they cranked up the volume to 11 again. I once more asked them, but this time they couldn't give a frig and just carried on. That's when I caught the attention of a FA, who told them to turn the volume down. He then turned to me and said "follow me Mr. Yerbooty, I've got a quiet seat up front for you".

Whether they carried on with their incessant yacking at Vol 11 I don't know; I was now 10 rows in front of them enjoying a bit of peace and quiet.

Some people, generally speaking, have become utterly disinterested in how their actions affect others. It's "me, me & me" and nothing else matters to them. And it's not just millenials, albeit they are by far the worst.
