At the moment, the T1 AirTrain station is closed, so if you will be traveling anytime soon, you would take the AirTrain from T4 to T8 (a free, six- or seven-minute ride), and then transfer to a shuttle bus from T8 to T1.

Thanks for the quick responses.
How long does it take with the shuttle buses? Do they use separate road lanes or are there usually traffic that the buses could get stuck also?
