Thanks for making me look at the actual APPR language, rather than what's on the AC website (which I saw read "more than 3 hours" )! Since I'm now going down the complaint route, the actual reason given by text message was: "delayed due to additional time needed to address pilot scheduling issues."

They will probably try to lump that into "safety" because tired crew can't fly? Of course the complaint response says "outside of our control" and doesn't mention the text message I got. It was an early morning flight so no doubt it was to give the crew additional rest time since the incoming flight was late. Still qualifies? Have others gotten compensation for reasons/situations such as this?
