We acquired Nexus in 2018. I don't remember being asked specifically about Global Entry but do remember being asked about capturing retina data for use in Canadian airports. Arrived in SEA from Germany last week and had no problem using the Global Entry line.

I am Canadian (US perm resident) and wife is American. Not sure if it's relevant but we both have had new passports and drivers licenses issued since the original Nexus interview and we've been very diligent about updating the TTP site along the way with the new document info.
