Just a quick sanity check. Had a family flight (3 pax), domestic, Y, two segments. First segment delayed for crew rest, which would have caused a misconnect, but got on a 3hr later flight for the second segment. We arrived at our final destination exactly 3hrs later than the original itinerary. We also irritatingly missed out on our preferred seats on the second segment as a result.
I sent in a complaint to AC. They came back with the usual BS yada yada outside of our control, here's a $300 credit as goodwill.
Is this reasonable? Just wondering what the crowd thinks.
