I am pretty sure in that scenario if you have hold luggage you have to pick it up which is after immigration -> visa required. My guess is that if you have a BP for the SV flight and hand luggage only you can simply follow the flow to transit, then it is a security check of hand luggage and you are at departures again. If mentioning Tunisair was for the flight to Tunis, and TUN-JED-BKK with SV, the story is much more simple

If you do the full TUN-BKK flight on one ticket with SV, your hold luggage is labelled through, are you eligible for a stopover visa etc. (and then only if you booked with SV directly)
