Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, very much!

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked One Classic King Garden View Room with Balconya couple weeks in advance to be paid cash. Was granted the obligatory double upgrade to a Bedroom Suite Garden View. Upon checking in, we noted that there was construction going on outside our window. The IHG website noted that renovation would be taking place and certain parts of the hotel would be closed, but it was already dark (past 7pm) and the drilling and hammering was still going on. We requested a different room, and they gave us an amazing 1 Bedroom Suite Kitchen Club Lounge Access.

How are the rooms?
The Bedroom Suite Kitchen Club Lounge Access was humongous, with a massive living room / dining toom, super long balcony with ocean view, kitchenette and ample closet space. The shower in the bathroom was larger than usual, which was nice.

A super nice touch was that the room also featured a study area with a desk right near the entrance.

How is the exec. lounge?
We really enjoyed the lounge. It is perhaps one of the largest IC Club Lounges we have ever been in (other than IC Beijing Sanlitun). Plenty of seating, including a separate area for families, as well as nice bathrooms and a game area with a billiards table.

The food was delicious, but not as plentiful as some other IC Lounges. The hot items available for order from the menu at breakfast were great and the service was excellent too.

There is a separate small pool for Club guests, but it was open to all hotel guests since the family pool was closed for construction.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Yes, there was a fruit plate as well as a birthday cake for our daughter (including a birthday card signed in many languages by the hotel staff).

How was the minibar?
Minibar was standard, but the half bottles of wine were quite expensive.

What was good and what was bad?

The good:
- Well-designed and exceptionally clean hotel premises
- Recognition of status and meaningful upgrade
- Friendly staff
- Excellent breakfast and evening canapes
- Kids club and Teens club had lots of activities, but mostly for younger kids

The bad:
- Renovation work is still in progress; noisy at times
- Not enough room at the main pool for guests. Too crowded.

- Beach was also too crowded. Not enough beach lounge chairs or umbrellas

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Excellent value given all level of service, newness of facilities

Would you return?
We will definitely be back.
