That's only one way though. You can't transfer to AA and AS does not allow multi-partner awards, so you still need another one way. You may be able to transfer to another OW partner but I'm not familiar with their programs, rates, or surcharges so I can't really comment.
I flew the old JAL F product in 2019 (JFK-NRT). I wasn't aware that they were coming out with a new one, but it looks great. Much better than the old product.

How many miles would I need for this o/w award with AAdvantage, and, would I be too short to just buy the rest of the miles?
