Agreed. Even on the C/D side, the bins are very tight at the front, they get a little more spacious farther back (but I would certainly not call any of them "large").
This is one aircraft where it's critical to pre-board as 1K if you have a roller.
And btw, this is by no means UA specific. The E75 bins are configured the same on UA, DL, and AS (all operated by express carriers).
