Hey, just done this one TUN-JED-KUL 3 weeks ago. Hold luggage is labelled through to the final destination both ways, so no need to pick it up and re-check if you're flying Saudia (assuming you are by the fare title). You don't need a visa for a <12 hr transit in Saudi, though you can get a free one from managing your booking.
We slept in the lounge (first class section, eligable entry as KLM platinum for some reason). wasn't the best nights rest, but certainly not the worst. Dress warm!!

Sorry didn't mention the lounge. Did you use it on through middle leg and did you go straight after immigration? Is there a time limit and did they say you could only use it from a certain time. Only ever paid once and got free access with insurance
