If BA do try to impose additional charges ask them to listen to the voice recording of the original call, if that recording confirms your understanding of the conversation then they are likely to waive any additional charges. This was their error, not yours and you should not be expected to pay further charges after the event.
I had a similar problem when they quoted me an incorrect price for a J>F upgrade. They listened back to the call and accepted their error once it was clear that I'd queried the charge and they had insisted it was the lower amount that I ended up paying
