I had this in December, when I had to cancel a flight due to health reasons. The connection dropped and a few seconds later I had a call from +91 124 412 0700. That also kept dropping (the reception in the Sofitel was rubbish) and they called back twice more. It was the same agent and they completed the rebooking for me just fine.

EDIT: How does this sound... the op rebooked, then the agent got moaned at for not charging 4x £35. The agent, having the op's number, then phones back directly to whinge at him... Not right, but seems plausible to me?
Yes, I think this is what happened. My question is, can BA make any problems for me? I have had to suck up so much bulls&*&t from BA over the years, I feel as if they need to absorb it this one time if they've made a mistake. Also, there is no way that I would have changed the flights if they'd quoted me 4x £35/50.

Will call the UK call centre just to confirm
