Post-funeral luncheon:

Assorted bagels (cream cheese, butter)
Lox (lemon, capers, red onion)
Sliced turkey breast, muenster cheese (spicy brown mustard, mayonnaise)
Greek pasta salad
Chickpea salad
Assorted olives
Cole slaw
Mother's homemade noodle kugel (the best in the west!)

Assorted cookies, chocolate babka, rugelach (all from Zabar's)
Assorted hamantaschen (raspberry, apricot, poppy)
Taiwanese mini pineapple cakes

---------------

Some of this came home with me. "Dinner" ended up being a few pieces of lox and a piece of kugel. I have turkey, onion, a whole wheat bagel, and one piece of kugel left -- oh, and a lemon and lime (cut into wedges). Maybe I'll do a pop-up Drunk DO this week since I now have fruit for cocktails.

The desserts were dry and terrible (except the hamantaschen, which were delicious). I will bring all of them (two gallon-sized ziploc bags) to the office this week to let others enjoy. Zabar's is great with many things but baked desserts is not one of them.
