- Admiral's Club food is generally bad. They are supposedly upgrading it, but the upgrades are proceeding slowly, scheduled to be done by "early 2024" (we shall see). Think of it as a place to sit and have coffee and work, but if you want food don't expect much. We shall see how the "premium food" upgrades go.
- If you're on the West Coast or JFK you can use an Alaska lounge which tends to be better. The food isn't full entrees but soup and sandwiches and sometimes some other snack-like things like a taco guacamole table at SFO, which are quite decent. If only AA would copy Alaska in terms of basic, but good, food.
- Worth keeping Centurion clubs in your back pocket as well, for better food.
In my recent experience, AA lounge food was on an uptrend from basic snacks, BUT the First Class experience was much better than DL's. Hot towels, warm nuts, better booze selections, better onboard dining options (on meal routes).
