Good question! I’ve had exactly this last 2 times going to EDI. Given the choice I would have preferred exit row especially as I’d already eaten. But think it would be a massive pain for the GA to have to undo it and upgrade someone else. So for a 1-hour flight I’d just suck it up and not cause a fuss.
yes my working assumption is that my seat has been given to someone so it would cause a big pain so I just suck it up as an ‘enhancement’. At least by row 8 they already knew if they had food left - the problems before were when I got banished to the front.
