I just returned from KOA using Delta and it was the best rate.

If I wanted to visit another island, I would have booked either SouthWest or Hawaiian for inter island flights for the lowest cost.

Usually HA is the best rates / points but this time around, HA was almost 2x higher from the mainland.

Delta award flight was 21.5K points while HA was 40K R/T so we took 2 free flights on Delta as HA would have been for 1 pax.

Delta was the best for ONT-SEA-KOA even as a last minute trip we took.
