I got a Chevy Bolt EUV out of Avis DEN a couple weeks ago for my first EV rental (and first time with an EV).

It's an ok car with a few things that are a slight inconvenience for rentals:
- there's no easy way to accurately get the % charge short of plugging it into a charger that talks to the vehicle. The charge-state gauge just has four indicator lines: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, so you can't tell which side you're on when you're right on the edge of 70%.
- It doesn't come with an adapter for tesla destination chargers. As far as I can tell, they're just Level 2 chargers with a Tesla plug. The hotel I was at had a bunch of them but they were useless to me.
- It's relatively old batter management tech so fast charge can be slow even in the 70% range. It took about 15 minutes to go from 69% to 79% (margin to make sure I'd be over 70 at the airport).

All that said, I have a good idea of the logistics and range now, so I wouldn't hesitate to take one again. There are enough chargers in the Boulder/DEN area that I could top it off at dinner at my destination and be above 70% on return.
