I think I'll be coming into terminal D and flying to BOS out of terminal A. Will I have to go through security again at terminal A? I am familiar with the SkyLink, but have only gone through DFW before for domestic or Mexico connections. Pushing my departing flight out to the next one will cause a 4.5 hour layover which I hope to avoid. From what I've seen about minimum connection times and in posts on here, I think 2h will be fine, but would appreciate further confirmation or advice.
When you exit immigration and customs and take the escalator up the departures level, you are brought directly to a security area. I do not believe there is TSA pre-check at this security area. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.) If, instead, at the top of the escalator you make a U-turn and walk down the corridor to the next security area, there is pre-check there, and often much shorter of a line.
