I've stayed for long stays at the Buena Park Residence Inn, as well as the Townplace Suites and Fairfield Suites in Manhattan Beach (the two are next door to one another).
Without a doubt, in terms of stay comfort and value, the Buena Park location is superior. The Residence Inn has true bedrooms and kitchens, whereas most of the rooms in the Manhattan Beach hotels are studios. Some rooms in the Townplace Suites face the light rail, and trains rattle by every few minutes.
Again, this is based on the hotels only, not location.

Here are the two places I am comparing, first one is 23k//night redemption (went down from 25k), second one is 17k/night
- $18/night parking at Courtyard Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne, 4427 West El Segundo Boulevard, Hawthorne
- Free parking at Residence Inn La Mirada Buena Park, 14419 Firestone Boulevard, La Mirada, California :: 28miles to LAX and with Friday am traffic could talke just over an hour - coupled with uncertainity in catching the plane/returning the rental.
I am exploring if I could safely park overnight around El Segundo Boulevard - tips?
