From your description ('work desk behind the top of the bed') I understand that you stayed in an x02 room. I think it is justified to give some feedback on the criticism of the Jr Suites in this discussion, including the previous posts. What is the difference between this Junior Suite (x02) and a regular bedroom?
From the top of my head:
- Both a shower & bathtub vs. bath or shower.
- Two bath mats.
- Additional soap pumps ;-).
- Large rain shower head vs small rain shower head.
- Additional vanity items.
- Bigger hallway.
- His and hers (/whatever) closets.
- Shoe rack.
- Bigger TV, with extendable wall mount.
- Two lounge chairs vs. one.
- Better view (x02) than most regular rooms.
- x02 rooms feature a - let's call it a - Space Age Television Window, a frivolity Conrad Hilton normally would not allow.
- This TV window has a hidden mood light.
- Room to move aroud in is way much bigger.
- Larger desk, in x02 separated from the bed-area.
Now is this a solid upgrade or only a king size bedroom?
I do agree that the even-numbered Jr Suites at the other side of the building are less attractive because of the somewhat depressing view.
