I generally find most parents in business on BA do attempt to look after their children and try to minimise disruption. I do not count small children playing peek a boo over the partition or wandering around the cabin as an issue but inattentive parents are a pain. I can only see this problem getting worse with club suites; at least with legacy CW you can trap them in the middle seats and parents can be either side.
A nice dinner with cheese and port puts me to sleep on night CW flights without the need for noise cancelling headphones but the latter is a good idea for those who are disrupted by the noise.
This is the cause of most screaming babies. Children under a year old don’t have the ability to clear their ears properly. The
Eustachian tubes are to small. They are in tremendous pain. If the ear does not clear the body will pull fluid into the inner ear leading to nasty infections. The reality is that children under a year old should not be flying. Not being able to clear their ears causes a degree of permanent hearing loss. The bottom line is that if you value your children’s health flying with them under a year old is not a good idea.
