1. Search/scrape tools started off as free passion projects. Those come from a good place, but have bad consequences (e.g. places burdens on Aeroplan and partners IT system, enables points brokers)
2. Search/scrape tools that then start charging and became a business are both bad, illegal and have the bad conequences
3. It's obvious they want to clamp down on 2, unclear if they want to clamp down on 1, but regardless they've made it clear it's not something Air Canada likes
4. It's not that AC doesn't want to implement certain tools or that their IT is bad, its that they need to balance factors that are beyond their control (like partner IT systems)
Thanks for the video summary
As always, it's airlinves vs. the "little" people :P and brokers/CC WB abusers ruined it for the rest

I read elsewhere that Seats.aero sent out email to their members saying Air Canada/Aeroplan has requested them to stop and seats.aero is NOT complying for the moment
Let's see how THAT turns out
I sure hope cow didn't get any mail from AC's lawyers

and just read OMAAT - EF losts *A award availability

This is turning into AIRLINES vs. the PEOPLE
