I have the CIBC Aeroplan infinite prvilage card ($599) coming up for renewal. Was planning to downgrade it to the $139 version as I'm retired and don't need it. Not worth it with that retention offer if you don't have a use for the card and its benefits. If you're going to hop over to a TD Aeroplan product, why not downgrade the CIBC card to one with no annual fee? You'd be getting the Aeroplan benefits from the TD card.
