NYC - Eat out and help Tsunami Victims
From the Times today:
Through Jan 12, all of Jeffrey Chodorow's places will donate 5% of the net to Americares
Sunday through Tuesday, the BR Guest places including Ruby Foo's and the Blue Water Grill, will donate 20% to the Red Cross
all of January, the Sushi Samba restaurants will donate 1% of net to Action Against Hunger and the Restaurants Against Hunger Tsunami Fund.
At Counter in the east village, $3 of every appetizer will go to the funds above.
JLX (upper West and the one in Sag Harbor) and JL East in East Hampton will donate $1 for every meal to the Red Cross all month
SoHo Cantina will donate $2 per check to Unicef all month.
Highline in the meatpacking district will offer a buffet on Monday from 5:30 to 9:30 with a minimum donation of $50 to the Thai USA Association
Table on Monday will server a $175 5 course meal on Monday for Save the Children
Sapa on 24th on Tuesday will offer a 5 course Asian meal for $125 with all the money being donated to Doctors without Borders
Jan 16th, Fleur de Sel on 20th will have dinners at 5 and 8:30 for $150 to benefit Unicef
Jan 17th at the Institute of Culinary Education chefs will be giving a demonstration for $120 for Action Against Hunger, and on the 18th at 6:30 they will do a five course dinner with the Exec Director of Action for $150
Wolffer Estate winery in Sagaponack has a wine tasting benefit this weekend (Saturday, 4 to 6) to collect summer clothing, bed linens, and school supplies for Sri Lanka, and will collect Cash for the Red Cross
